stoped work without notice

At the hospital where I work there was some misinterpritation of some word/sThe patient came to me and said that she was itching, and I replied her and said "I can scratch you  where are you itching"? Another patient overheard this coversation and then urged the patient I was talking to to go and report to the nurse on duty.

I was off duty for three days when I came the day for my duty I noticed that  all my working days to March had been cancelled, no one said anything to me. I went back home , after 8hrs I  got a call from my manager  appologizing about the procedure that had been taken . I was called to come and give a statement to one staff concerning the whole incident.

Now I don't know  what I should do, Iam not working, I was told to wait  till  I hear  the reply. Now I don't know wether Iam going to be paid for the days which Iam not going to work, also is there anything that I can do at the momment?.
