Yes. There are no hidden costs, fees, or other charges. Even after you find a lawyer using TakeLegalAdvice.com, there is no obligation to hire that lawyer. TakeLegalAdvice.com provides you with a choice of lawyers for FREE. You can then decide to hire a lawyer, or not.
- Q: How secure and confidential are my details on the site?

Totally - the site uses a Verisign approved SSL (Secure Socket Layer) server to protect your information. Your contact details are not shown to any law firms until you decide - when you have clicked on a box saying to release your details to the law firm, and this is only after you have viewed law firm replies in your password protection online account.
All of your information is completely confidential from other users. We will not distribute your personal information to any other organization (apart from the law firms involved in the matching service), nor will we use it for any other purpose other than to help you find the right lawyer. Likewise, lawyers will not know your identity or contact information until you decide to reveal them.

- Q: Using the Matching Service, when can I expect to receive a response?

Within 24-48 hours during weekdays. This allows sufficient time for law firms to review and respond to your case. If you make your submission on Friday, you will hear back on Monday or Tuesday.
- Q: How often can I use the TakeLegalAdvice.com Matching Service or any other services on the site?
- A:
As often as you like. TakeLegalAdvice.com has been designed to allow you to make a number of searches for your different legal needs. The Law Firm responses page is structured by case with this in mind.
- Q: I need to give feedback to TakeLegalAdvice.com - how do I do this?
- A:
We value your feedback. Simply click on the Site Feedback link at the top of the page and complete the form. We read these forms on a regular basis.
- Q: How does the Matching Service work?
- A:
Simple - you complete 4 pages of information about your case, your location, income and assets, and your contact details (which are kept confidential to the law firms until after the matching service has been complete, and is only then released when you have requested them to contact you).
Our matching software sends your case details (anonymously) to suitable law firms. The law firms respond with how they would handle your case and an estimated cost. They are given 24-48 hours to respond.
An email will be sent for you when responses are received. Click on the link provided on the email to log in to the site (clicking on the “Log in” link at the top of the page, and entering your username and password (you username being your email address, and your password the one you chose when completing the registration page for matching).
Click on the “Law Firm Responses” link at the top of the page to view details.
The law firm responses will provide an outline from each law firm of how they would handle your case, and an estimation on cost. If the firm has been rated by other users you will be able to click through to view their comments.
By clicking on the "View Contact Details” you will also be able to view a profile of the law firm; including articles on the law firm, news coverage of the firm and more information on the firm’s services.
You can then decide which law firms you would like to release your contact details to, to allow the law firms to contact you directly, and start the process of working together.
